We've had some questions emailed to us about the 08 meet. I will post
them here with answers.
Question #1
The registration, when it says "entry into the convention activities", does
this mean that we must register and pay to get on the grounds.
Answer: That is for truck registration
Question #2
Will there be a parking lot charge/how much if you are parked in the lot
and want to leave & come back is there a 2nd charge?
Answer: No charge
Question #3
Will there be trams from parking lot to entrance?
Answer: Yes
Question #4
Will there be trams on the fairgounds?
Answer: Yes
Question #5
If your truck has a camper on it, and on display, can you sleep in the
camper?
Answer: Yes - in the truck/camper area
Question #6
Will all the trucks be in one area? I know there is a map on the form, but
it is not very readable. Is there some place on the internet with a larger
map?
Answer: All the trucks will be together............we are working on a map
and photo page to give a tour of the fairgrounds so you are somewhat
familiar with it before you get there. (Give me a few weeks to do this)
Question #7
How far are the venders/club booths from the truck display?
Answer: All within a 2 block area (Adding to this answer the trucks and
buildings are all right together. Should be very easy to go back and forth
from trucks to buildings for vender/booth looking)
Question #8
Who do we contact about the club wanting a booth?
Answer: call ATHS Headquarters
I have also had some emails about the camping area at the fairgrounds.
People wanting to arrive several days early and camp there.
The Kansas State fairgrounds has camping areas with full hook ups for
campers. They DO NOT take reservations for camping spots. You
show up pay your money and go camp.
Once the ATHS show has started YOU MUST HAVE CAMPING
RESERVATIONS thru the ATHS entry form or you will get the boot
out of the camping spots. The show controls the camping spots. You will
need to turn in your registration form and have your camping for the # of
days added to your registration to have a camping spot once the show
begins. Only ATHS people that have reserved camping spots will be
allowed to camp at the fairgrounds during the show. (Adding my own
thoughts I would imagine if all the reserved spots are filled and there are
some left you may be able to grab a spot but if you want to be sure you
better reserve the spot!)
Showing up days early to camp you are taking a chance that it will be
filled up but in all honesty your chances are very good there will be
places to camp there before the ATHS show starts. Once the show
starts and you have reservations you get your spot. All other campers
will have to leave when the show starts.
Hope this clears that up and I havent made it more foggy.
